  • Every nanny must meet the following requirements:

    - Minimum 1 year experience working with children; babysitting, nanny, daycare, etc

    - Drivers License & access to reliable vehicle

    - Good communication skills

    - Proficient in English (read, write & speak)

    - Non-smoker

    - Up to date CPR & First Aid Training

    - Clear Criminal Record & Child Abuse Check

    - Drivers Abstract

  • All our nannies have up to date CPR and First-Aid Training and at least 1 year experience working with children.

  • We hire local nannies to work with all of our families. We love providing jobs for our lovely Winnipeg community!

  • Light housekeeping will include anything pertaining to the children:

    their meals

    rooms being tidy

    nursery stocked

    children’s laundry

    to/from activities

    light meal prep

    empty/loading dishwasher

    garbage

    general daily tidying

    Light housekeeping is NOT: whole house vacuum, dust, bathrooms, dishes from before/after work hours (ie. dinner dishes from the night before), adult laundry or yard work

  • We maintain a dedicated phone & text line for emergencies for both our nannies and clients, available 24/7. During work hours our phone& text line is available and after hours & holidays, only text is available at 431-336-5550.


 

Full-time Nannies

  • A full-time placement is considered anything 35 hours or more per week. A consistent schedule on consistent days, will have a higher interest from potential nannies. The minimum commitment is 1 year.

 

Part-time Nannies

  • Wages (69%), Employer/Government Fees (15%) Admin & Overhead (6%) & Insurance (10%).

  • A placement is for a 12 month period, but we can accommodate different durations based on every client's needs.

  • A minimum of 16 hours per week is required for a part-time placement. A consistent schedule on consistent days will have a higher interest from potential nannies.

  • Rates start at $23.00/hour, based on nanny experience, relevant education and client expectations.

  • $500 Interview fee, $250-$500 Package fee and the nannies hourly rate. Mileage and expense reimbursements are dependent on client expectations.

 

Casual Service Memberships

  • Cancellations for shifts will still follow the 24-hour cancellation policy which requires the whole shift to paid if cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice.

    Subscriptions auto-renew every month. One month’s written notice (email to accounting@thenannycompany.ca) is required to cancel.

  • Booking credit will not be reimbursed for bookings cancelled after a nanny has been confirmed, regardless of notice period.

    Booking credit will be reimbursed for bookings cancelled or incomplete by the company

  • All bookings must be used in 1 month and are non-transferrable.

  • If a client has used all their monthly bookings, they will be prompted to upgrade or pay-per-booking until their subscription renews when trying to make an additional booking.

  • For Non-Members:

    Booking fees are non-refundable.

    Cancellations for shifts will still follow the 24-hour cancellation policy which requires the whole shift to paid if cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice.

    Regular, overtime and special hourly rates still apply.
